A field study was conducted during Kharif 2014 and Kharif 2015 to evaluate the bioefficacy of fungicides (both solo and combination products) against stem rot disease of paddy. Different fungicides were tested either as seed treatment (ST), seedling dip (SD), foliar spray (FS) or in combinations. Disease was measured in 0-9 standard evaluation scale and scores were transformed into percent disease index (PDI). PDI of Kharif 2014 and Kharif 2015 were pooled to get the mean PDI.

To view the effect of depth of planting on growth and yield parameters of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) crop, the experiments were conducted at Students Research Farm, Khalsa College Amritsar. The experiments were conducted at three different depths of planting as treatments viz., D1 (3”), D2 (5”) and D3 (7”) and each treatment was replicated three times. The most important diseases of eucalyptus in the plantations are leaf and shoot blight caused by Cryptosporiopsis eucalypti and associated with defoliation, dieback and mortality of eucalyptus trees. Disease causes major losses in nurseries and plantations resulting in failure of planting material and reduction of biomass production or loss of germplasm. Present investigation was carried out at the Students Instructional Farm of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur during Rabi-2017- 18. Analysis of variance revealed significant variation exists among the stains for all characters studied except stem girth, leaf width, nodes per plant, leaves per plant and seedlings dry weight. Intensive screening of black pepper germplasm through artificial inoculation was done at ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, (Kerala, India) to locate sources of resistance against Phytophthora foot rot incited by Phytophthora capsici Leon. adopting conventional stem and leaf inoculation procedure. An experiment was conducted during kharif 2017 comprised of 25 genotypes of aromatic and pigmented rice to study character interrelationship using correlation and path analysis. Correlation coefficient revealed that leaf length of blade, stem length, time of 50% heading, number of filled spikelet per panicle, 1000 grain weight, spikelet fertility %, biological yield per plant, harvest index per plant and days to maturity showed positive significant correlation with grain yield per plant at genotypic level.

The results of the analysis and evaluation of the growth and development of water hyacinth in experimental locations by the ecological fixation method of vegetable development in Sai Gon river basin - Thu Dau Mot, Binh Duong showed that after 84 days of experiment, the water hyacinth in different locations had the growth of stem, roots, leaves and buds. However, this growth at other locations is different. Statistical results also showed that the water quality indexes of BOD5, COD, total nitrogen, total phosphorus were highly correlated with the increase in the raw weight of the hyacinth.
