This specification covers iron-chromium-nickel-copper corrosion-resistant steel castings, capable of being strengthened by precipitation hardening heat treatment; These castings may be used in services requiring corrosion resistance and high strengths at temperatures up to 600°F [315°C]. They may be machined in the solution-annealed condition and subsequently precipitation hardened to the desired high-strength mechanical properties specified in Table S24.1 with little danger of cracking or distortion.

With the rapid development of 3D printing technology, products with improved performance are in demand. After the physical printing tests, all products exhibited good surface properties and excellent interlayer bonding. As a result, BDM/ALCR resins with excellent mechanical properties and heat resistance have great potential for applications in aerospace, automotive parts, and electronic components.

Alumium (Al) - based materials are highly demanded for automobiles, transportation, and aerospace etc. In this research, Al - based TiC composites were fabricated using powder metallurgy (P/M) technology from Al, Cu, and TiC powders with the compositions of Al - 5 wt.% TiC, and Al - 5 Cu/ 5wt.% TiC. The composite powders were well mixed and compacted using cold pressing technique with an applied pressure of 500 MPa.

Polyurethane foams have good shock-absorbing properties. This article discusses the study of the physical, dynamic analysis, and microstructure of filled polyurethane foams (PUR). We used mineral fillings nanoparticles of titanium dioxide (TiO2 ) and calcium carbonate (C1) to support and strengthen the foam cell structure to develop shock absorption and thermal resistance properties. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and compression tests compared the mechanic characterization results with different modelling approaches.

In this study, the evolution of the dislocation cell structure and variation of mechanical properties of structural steel under low-cycle fatigue were studied using the indentation experiment, optical microscope, and transmission electron microscope examinations. The results indicated that the dislocation cell structure was well-formed under cyclic loading.

Risk factors have been proposed for running injuries including (a) reduced muscular strength, (b) excessive joint movements and (c) excessive joint moments in the frontal and transverse planes. To date, many running injury prevention programs have focused on a “top down” approach to strengthen the hip musculature in the attempt to reduce movements and moments at the hip, knee, and/or ankle joints.

Patellofemoral pain (PFP) is highly prevalent in runners, and often leads to functional limitations and cessation of running. Training errors as well as decreased lower limb strength and control during running have all been associated with PFP. While strengthening and gait retraining are commonly used by clinicians, no randomised clinical trial has compared these modalities in runners with PFP.

Polymers containing hydrogen bonds are of great significance as they have the potential to strengthen the mechanical properties of a material through non-covalent crosslinking, which is the basis for paint and self-healing materials. In this work we describe a method to obtain a novel polymer via the coupling reaction of cyanuric chloride and a di-amine. We investigate the reaction conditions to optimise the polymerization yield and molecular weight polydispersity.

Bund formation is an important field preparation operation in rice cultivation. Presently, this operation is done manually. A low cost, tractor drawn bund forming and strengthening implement for paddy wetlands has been developed. Shear strength of the bunds formed is one of the parameters for assessing effectiveness of bunds. Shear strength were measured for the bunds formed using the developed tractor drawn wetland bund formers and compared with the manual bunds formed at three locations. The medium bund former was seen to impart more strength to bunds formed at Pullazhi kolepadavu.

In recent years, efforts have been made to produce advanced composite materials in order to lessen environmental impact and to extent sustainability. Traditional materials are largely substituted by composites due to their greater properties like flexural strength, low thermal expansion and high strength.

Using the financial data of A-share listed companies in 2003-2018, this paper studies the maturity mismatch of investment and financing in China based on the sensitivity of investment to change of short-term loans. This study finds that corporate investment relies on short-term loans rather than long-term loans, so the maturity mismatch of investment and financing is widespread. In addition, we examine the mechanism of the heterogeneity between state-owned enterprises and private enterprises.
