After nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, sulphur is the fourth nutrient, whose deficiency is widespread in India. Sulphur deficiency is observed primarily due to high crop yield and therefore higher rate of sulphur removal by crops, and lesser use of sulphur-containing fertilizers. Boron foliar sprays seemed to overcome the deleterious effects of drought by overcoming the drought-related molecular responses and consequently appeared to meliorate sunflower growth under insufficient water conditions.

Coated products mostly consist of quick-release N sources surrounded by a barrier that prevents the N from releasing rapidly into the environment. Keeping the above aspects in the mind, the present proposal is put forth with the effect of slow releasing nitrogen fertilizers on growth and yield of sugarcane.

Effect of foliar spray of various nutrients on yield attributes, yield and economics of rainfed rice
A recent trend in the fertilizer industry to shift from ammonium sulphate to urea and from superphosphate to non-sulphur phosphatic fertilizer may induce more widespread sulphur deficiency in lowland rice. Keeping all above facts in view the present study was undertaken to find out the nutrient economy through foliar application of fertilizer and to assess the economic feasibility of various treatments.

An experiment was designed to assess the response of Sulphur to different Chickpea cultivars at Agriculture farm of Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya, Chitrakoot, Satna (M.P.). Three varieties (DCP 92-03, JG-16, JG-11) and three Sulphur levels (10, 20, 30 and 40 kg S /ha) along with all possible interactions were used. Experimental design fallowing split plot design in three replications was employed data was collected on yield parameters.

Cotton, the major fibre crop of India grown mainly under the rainfed condition often faces multi-nutritional deficiencies. This experiment was conducted during the Kharif season of 2016-17 on to find out the best performing nutrient combination for rainfed cotton in which sulphur, zinc and FYM based nutrient management regime, as well as customized fertilizer, were evaluated.

The spacing of crop may be varied according to climatic condition, soil fertility and cultivars adaptation to particular region. Under the wider spacing, the plant was more vigorous in terms of leaf size, which might be due to less competition for light, nutrients and moisture as compared' to closer spacing (Rai et al., 2003).

The present study was aimed to examine the effect of two varieties, four levels of sulphur (0, 20, 40 and 60 kg S/ha) and four levels of zinc (0, 2.5, 5.0 and 7.5 kg Zn/ha) making 32 treatment combination under split plot design with three replications. Results showed that significantly increased umbels/plant, umbellets/umbel, seeds/umbel, seed (1409 kg/ha), stover and biological yields, and net returns (Rs 39396/ha) were obtained with coriander variety RCr-436 as compared to variety RCr-435.

Soil quality is one of the important factors controlling yields of the crops. Soil characterization in relation to evaluation of fertility status of the soils of an area or region is an important aspect in the context of sustainable agricultural production. Soil physicochemical parameters are more important that control its quality. Variation in nutrient supply is a natural phenomenon and some of them may be sufficient whereas others deficient.

The soybean is the important crop of Madhya Pradesh. The unbalanced uses of fertilizer have deteriorated the productivity of soybean in the region. The poor productivity of soybean is mainly due to imbalanced application of nutrients and use of traditional varieties. Sulphur is an essential plant nutrient for crop production. For oil crop producers, S fertilization is especially important because oil crops require more S than cereal crops.
