This paper describes the experiment conducted in order to support or reject the hypothesis that the effect of the odd pricing technique depends on the gender of the customer. Analysis of the recent studies in the field of customers’ price perception and, more narrowly, the odd-even pricing, failed to formulate the mutually shared point of view on the problem: whether the odd pricing effect exists or not? Empirical evidence from one group of researches prove this effect is significant while other group of researches prove the opposite.

The article studies the problem of forecasting the closing price of a stock based on historical data of a previous day. The paper uses and compares algorithms based on deep learning such as LSTM, BiLSTM, and CNN. The dataset includes data on price, trading volume and some technical indicators related to VCB, MSN, and HPG shares. The results show that CNN performs better for predicting the next day’s closing price than the other architectures.

In recent years, financial time series forecasts have become a challenging issue and attracted many researchers. This study develops a novel hybrid model to forecast stock price in Vietnam Stock Exchange. The least squares support vector regression (LSSVR), a machine learning technique, is utilized as a forecast model. This study builds on existing body of knowledge on the subject by estimating the contributions of the financial and energy sectors to the Nigerian economy between 1981 and 2018. Using the estimation method of dynamic ordinary least squares (DOLS), the study reveals electricity consumption, inflation and financial development as positive predictors of growth while oil price and gross fixed capital are negative predictors.

This study analyzed the trend in maize production in Vietnam and estimated a production model while determining factors affecting change in output. Response coefficients were estimated from time-series data covering 1986 to 2011 using the double-logarithm model. Estimated parameters results in model indicated that the maize production also had positive response to the price of maize, the fertilizer per hectare, the maize area, irrigation, the trend variable, and the agricultural extension policy.
