In this study, Taguchi's experimental design method was used to improve the yield of FOX-7. Verification of the results shows that the optimal synthesis parameters are as follows: the molar ratio of HNO3/MPD is 8, the reaction time is 180 minutes, and the reaction temperature is 15°C; the maximum yield of FOX-7 can reach 79.14%.

The influence of discharge rate, ambient temperature, and phase change material on the maximum temperature and the highest temperature difference was investigated. The maximum temperature of the battery was tested with and without phase change material under extreme discharge rates (4C and 5C) and ambient temperatures (310 K and 320 K). Results showed that a phase change material reduced the maximum temperature from 327.94 K to 306.45 K for a 14.6 Ah lithium-ion battery discharged at 5C-rate and 320 K.

This research investigated the optimization of injection molding parameters for the minimum warpage of CD & DVD disc substrate of Polycarbonate (PC). CD & DVD disc substrate was first designed by Pro/E 5.0. The Moldflow Plastics Insight 6.1 is used to mesh and simulate the warpage. For the first time, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) was produced in gas phase process with a new fluidized bed concept where the solids are dispersed phase and the gas is bulk phase as opposed to conventional fluidized bed reactors (FBRs). With this concept, UHMWPE with average molecular weights about 1-6,9 × 10 6 g moles −1 were produced with a commercial supported Ziegler-Natta catalyst by using a gas phase mini semibatch reactor system.

This paper presented a method to reduce the torsional vibration of a shaft system with dynamic vibration absorber (DVA). A theoretical method was introduced to determine optimal parameters of the DVA, which included spring stiffness, viscous coefficient of damper, mass moment of inertia of the absorber, number, and radial position of springs and dampers. First, system equations of motion of the shaft and the DVA were elaborated using Finite Element method (FEM) and solved by Runge-Kutta algorithm to find the torsional vibration response.

Based on the number of previous studies, this study aims to investigate the effects of process parameters of an Electrochemical Machining process which are electrolyte concentration, voltage applied to the machine, feed rate of the electrode and Inter-Electrode Gap between tool and work - piece. Aluminum samples of 25 mm diameter x 25 mm height and 30mm diameter x 25mm height of the tool is made up of copper with a circular cross section with 2 mm internal hole. The multiple response optimization and ranking of input parameters were productively completed by GRA to find the effect of each of it. Analysis of variance produced the higher significant factor from selected parameters with percentage of their contribution and was confirmed with an affirmation (verification) test for the obtained optimal set of factors. Thus, the hybrid GRA with Taguchi technique design provides the optimal design parameters affecting multi-performances of TFC system.
