The city series

Using Sentinel-1 image series with 10m resolution from the past to present by Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method for Ho Chi Minh City area, helping to assess flood risk due to canal leveling, slitting in some complicated times, narrows the space for water regulation.

We have studied the spatiotemporal evolution of surface deformation in Konya city and its vicinity using advanced multitemporal synthetic aperture radar techniques with SAR data acquired by Envisat, ALOS-1, and Sentinel-1 A/B satellites between 2004 and 2020. Velocity maps and time series show that the city has been subsiding with varying rates in space and time since 2004. The pattern of deformation shows two main lobes of subsidence centered in the western and eastern sides of the city with a nondeforming north-south trending narrow zone in between.

The maximum lag effects were 3 weeks for temperature and humidity, 4 weeks for precipitation, and 6 weeks for SOI. Specifically, the relative risk of HFMD increased by 7.2 % for every 1°C increase .in temperature, 6.75 % for every 1 % increase in humidity, 6.32 % for every 5 mm increase in precipitation, 4.42 % for every 5 units increase in SOI. The study provided a quantitative evidence that the increase of HFMD was significantly affected by the increase of climate variations

A series of chimeric receptors was generated between the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor, ErbB-1, and its homologue, ErbB-4, to investigate the roles of the extracellular domains (I–IV) in the ligand specificities. As compared with ErbB-1 and the chimeras with both domains I and III of ErbB-1, the chimeras with only one of these domains exhibited reduced binding of 125I-labeled EGF. Particularly, the contribution of domain III was appreciably larger than that of domain I of ErbB-1 in 125I-labeled EGF binding.

Type II transmembrane serine proteases are an emerging class of proteo-lytic enzymes involved in tissue homeostasis and a number of human disor-ders such as cancer.
