  • Compared with the conventional methods adopted for synthesis, the solution combustion method is advantageous in view of its low temperature and reduced time consumption which result in a high degree of crystallinity and homogeneity. The synthesised nanophosphor is characterized by PXRD and DRS. The effect of Sm3þ doping on the photoluminescence properties were studied in detail for their possible usage in display applications.

  • Water is the most valuable resource in the world and is playing a crucial role in daily activities of living beings on the earth. To meet the ever increasing demand, conservation and management of water resource is very important. Conventional methods of irrigation, like surface and subsurface flooding leads to scarcity of water, which can be reduced by adopting drip or trickle irrigation. Drip irrigation system can be controlled through different automation techniques.

  • Recently terrestrial digital broadcasting systems have experienced a growth with the demand of high-data rate. In order to meet such demand, the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology has received wide attention. This paper proposes a pre-coding method, which provides high-space channel correlation for the improved performance over terrestrial broadcasting channels when the MIMO spatial multiplexing (SM) is adopted for digital video broadcasting-next generation handheld systems.

  • Rice-Wheat cropping system pre-dominated in the India covering an area of about 10.5 million hectare. Adverse effect of continuous puddling in rice field forced scientists to search for other methods of rice establishment like direct seeding; machines transplanted and dry seeding with ZT machine and wheat by zero tillage etc. In a 3‐year study, we assessed the effects of crop establishment methods in participatory mode on farmers’ field through on farm on productivity and profitability in a rice–wheat (RW) system at Basti, Siddharthnagar and Gorakhpur district of U.P.

  • Evaluation of different chickpea sowing technologies under paddy residue conditions was conducted in a harvested paddy field. Field of paddy was harvested with combine. Chickpea variety (JG-130) was sown with different farm machines in four treatments viz., T1: Happy seeder, T2: Zero till seed cum fertilizer drill, T3: Conventional seed cum fertilizer drill and T4: Raised bed seed cum fertilizer drill in harvested R-1 variety of paddy fields. In T1, all the paddy straw was remained in the field itself and spreaded uniformly.

  • Nowadays, chemical pesticides are the traditional solution to weed and pest problems, and although they have saved lives and crops, the greatest risk to our environment and our health comes from their use. Many significant problems from their use include con‐ tamination of the environment, the development of pesticide resistance in the target pest, the recovery of pest species, the phytotoxicity in crop fields, and the unacceptably high levels of pesticide/commodity residue in food.

  • Aluminum alloys also display high fatigue crack growth rate, as much as three times faster than in steel specimens when subjected to the same stress intensity (Czyryca et al 2006). Aluminum alloys are anodic to most other materials used in construction and therefore, susceptible to localized galvanic corrosion. They are also sensitive to stress corrosion cracking. Other concerns involve marine fouling since aluminum alloys cannot be coated with conventional Cu-based antifouling coatings. In summary, the U.S.

  • Social determinants of health have a strong influence on a wide diversity of health endpoints. The same is valid for the field of environmental health, as the exposure to environmental risk factors is also unequally distributed, and this unequal distribution is often related to social characteristics such as income, social status, employment and education, but also non-economic aspects such as gender, age or ethnicity. However, depending on the environmental risk and the “risk group” considered, the magnitude of inequality varies largely.
