The effects of random parameters

The paper analyzes and determines the optimal parameters of tuned mass damper to reduce torsional vibration for the machine shaft. The research steps are as follows. First, the optimal parameters of tuned mass damper for the shafts are given by using the maximization of equivalent viscous resistance method. Second, a numerical simulation is performed for configuration of machine shaft to validate the effectiveness of the obtained analytical results.

Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) is a multiple-composite material developed during the early 1970s. In SFRC, short steel fibers are randomly distributed in concrete. Steel fibers can prevent the development of micro-cracks inside the concrete and reduce the expansion and development of the macro-cracks, thus enhance mechanical performance of SFRC. However, there is lack of studies on the influence of flowability of fresh SFRC on the steel fiber distribution patterns and mechanical properties of hardened SFRC.

To investigate the changes in the haematological, serum biochemical parameters and hepato-renal biomarkers upon dietary supplementation of nano zinc oxide (nZnO) and its effect on growth performance in calves, 24 weaned (6 months age) crossbred calves were randomly distributed to four dietary plans (Control, Treatment1, Treatment2 and Treatment3). The Control(C) group was fed exclusively with basal diet; T1 was supplemented with 25ppm ZnSo4, T2 and T3 with 5ppm and 10ppm nZnO respectively, along with the basal diet. Zinc content in basal was 26.24ppm.

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of benzyl adenine and gibberellic acid on flowering and flower quality attributes of gladiolus (Gladiolus hybridus L.) cv. summer sunshine in Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, College of Horticulture, Mudigere (Under University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga) during 2017-18.
