In this paper, the tensile performance of 3D printed continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic materials is investigated. Continuous carbon fiber and Polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PetG) are employed as reinforcement and matrix, respectively. Pure solid plastic infill, unidirectional fiber infill, and +45/-45 fiber infill patterns specimens are selected for printing and testing.

The as fabricated In-doped ZnO sensors showed enhanced sensitivity to CO gas with respect to pure ZnO one. Sensors with low dopant loading (1 at.% and 2 at.% In) were found to be more sensitive with shorter response and recovery times than those with high dopant loading.

The present work examıned the use of biochar derived from tea waste as a novel electrode material. For the fabrication of the biochar electrode, suitable amounts of biochar and graphite were mixed with mineral oil for the first time. The electrochemical performance of the biochar-modified carbon paste electrode (BCPE) was measured by various cyclic voltammetric reactions for several redox systems. The factors affecting the electrode kinetics of BCPE surfaces were examined and optimized. The BCPE was applied as transducer in a glucose biosensor.

This study reports a detailed analysis of an electrode material containing poly(phenolphthalein), carbon nanotubes and gold nanoparticles which shows superior catalytic effect towards to hydrazine oxidation in Britton–Robinson buffer (pH 10.0). Glassy carbon electrode was modified by electropolymerization of phenolphthalein (PP) monomer (poly(PP)/GCE) and the multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was dropped on the surface. This modified surface was electrodeposited with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs/CNT/poly(PP)/GCE).

Heterojunctions of metal oxides and single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) have attracted great attention because of their unique physical properties and giant potential applications. In this study, we report the fabrication of NO2 gas sensors using heterojunctions made of SnO2 nanowires and SWCNTs. The single crystal SnO2 nanowires were grown on Pt electrodes via thermal evaporation. A thin film of SWCNTs was synthesized directly on top of the SnO2 nanowires to form the SnO2/SWCNTs heterojunctions by arc- discharge method.

SnS2 has been investigated as anode material for lithium ion batteries. To obtain anode material having high capacity and long-term lifespan, in the present work, a nanostructured composite comprising SnS2 nanosheets and CMK-3 ordered mesoporous carbon has been designed. The CMK-3/SnS2 composite is fabricated via incipient wetness impregnation, followed by chemical reduction and chemical conversion in an inert gas at high temperature. The obtained composite exhibits boosted lithium storage behaviors involving high specific capacity, fast rate response and stable cyclability.
