Linear matching method (LMM) is one of the effective numerical methods for the limit and shakedown analysis, which computes the converging upper series by solving iteratively linear elastic analysis with Young’s modulus varying in space.

A method for determination of equivalent limit load surface of fiber-reinforced nonlinear composites
In this paper, a method for determining the limit load surface of fiber-reinforced nonlinear composites such as elasto-plastic composite is proposed. Using the stress approach of the homogeneous theory and the linear matching method (LMM).

A Bayesian approach with frequentist validity has been developed to support inferences derived from a BLevel A^ in vivo-in vitro correlation (IVIVC). Irrespective of whether the in vivo data reflect in vivo dissolution or absorption, the IVIVC is typically assessed using a linear regression model. Confidence intervals are generally used to describe the uncertainty around the model. While the confidence intervals can describe population-level variability, it does not address the individual-level variability.
