In present paper "Equation of state and thermal expansion of metals with FCC structure: Application to Cu, Al and Ni", by the statistical moment method (SMM) we obtain the equation of state for metals with cubic structure at temperature 0 K and pressure P and from that obtain the expressions of lattice parameter and thermal expansion coefficient for these metals at temperature T and pressure P.

The analytic expressions of thermodynamic quantities such as the Helmholtz free energy, the internal energy, the entropy, the molar heat capacity at constant volume for molecular cryocrystals of N2 type with face-centered cubic (FCC) and hexagonal close-packed (HCP) structures in harmonic, classical and anharmonic approximations are obtained by combining the statistical moment method (SMM) and the self-consistent field method (SCFM).

We build the theory of diffusion for FCC binary interstitial alloy under pressure based on the statistical moment method, where there are the analytic expressions of the jumping frequency of interstitial atom, the effective jumping length, the correlation factor, the diffusion coefficient, and the activated energy. In limit cases, we can obtain the diffusion theory for FCC metal A under pressure.

Numerical calculations of the quantities were performed for Fe and W thin films and found to be in good and reasonable agreement with other theoretical results and experimental data. This research proves that thermal expansion coefficients of thin films approach the values of bulk when thin film is about 70 nm thick.

Some thermodynamic quantities of ZrxCe1-xO2/CeO2 systems are investigated by using the moment method in statistical dynamics taking into account the anharmonicity effects of lattice vibrations. The analytic expression of the Gibbs free energy, Helmholtz free energy, and specific heats at the constant volume of ZrxCe1-xO2/CeO2 systems are obtained.

The high-pressure melting curve of silicon crystal with defects has been studied using statistical moment method (SMM). In agreement with experiments and with DFT calculations we obtain a negative slope for the high-pressure melting curve of silicon crystal. SMM calculated melting temperatures of Si crystal with defects being in good agreement with previous experiments.

In the present study, the influence of temperature and the size of the lattice constant of CeO2 thin film have been studied using three different interatomic potentials. We discuss temperature and thickness dependence of the lattice constant of CeO2 thin films and we compare our calculated results with those of the experimental results.

The effects of strain on the diffusion of impurities in silicon crystal are investigated using the statistical moment method (SMM). The influence of tensile strain on diffusion coefficient D is characterized by relaxation volume V r and migration volume V m. The numerical results for B and P diffusion in silicon that are performed and compared to experimental data show good agreement.

The coefficients of thermal expansion of thin metal film with face-centered cubic structure at zero pressure are investigated using the statistical moment method (SMM), including the anharmonic effects of thermal lattice vibration. The Helmholtz free energy, mean-square atomic displacement and linear thermal expansion coefficients are derived in closed analytic forms in terms of the power moments of the atomic displacement.

In present paper, we will present the theory of elastic deformation for binary interstitial alloys with FCC structure at zero pressure and under pressure builded by the SMM. Then, we apply this theory to study the elastic deformation of interstitial alloy AgC by combining the Mie-Lennard-Jones pair potential [14] and the Morse pair potential.

We have investigated the thermodynamic properties of the cubic zirconia ZrO2 using the statistical moment method in the statistical physics. The free energy, thermal lattice expansion coefficient, specific heats at the constant volume and those at the constant pressure, CV and CP , are derived in closed analytic forms in terms of the power moments of the atomic displacements.
