In everyday life, nature has given us countless useful medicinal plants. Among the common plants in Vietnam, the custard apple (Annona squamosa L.) has not been mainly used as a fruit but also traditionally as a medicine. However, studies on morphological characteristics remain limited in Vietnam as well as around the world. Determine the morphological and microscopic characteristics, and physicochemical features of A. squamosa leaves.

Among mandibular fractures, condyle fractures are common injuries which directly affect the occlusal function and aesthetics of the patients. Accurate diagnosis based on clinical and radiographic features helps to choose the appropriate treatment. This study aims to evaluate clinical features, morphologies on CT Scan of mandibular condyle fractures and analyze the relationship between these characteristics.

The WHO Classification of Soft Tissue and Bone Tumours currently recognizes four categories of undifferentiated small round cell sarcoma: Ewing sarcoma, round cell sarcoma with EWSR1-non-ETS fusions including NFATc2 and PATZ1, CIC-rearranged sarcoma, and sarcoma with BCOR genetic alterations. These neoplasms frequently pose significant diagnostic challenges due to rarity and overlapping morphologic and immunohistochemical findings.

The molecular data of D2-D3 of 28S rRNA region, morphometrics, and morphological features of second-stage juveniles, males, and females in the present study have confirmed that the root-knot nematode recovered from pomelo in Vietnam belongs to M. enterolobii. To the best of our knowledge, this represents the first report of M. enterolobii infecting pomelo, providing new insight into the host status of this important pest.

Gravity data inversion or interpretation requires the removal of the gravitational effects of the a priori known geologic and/or morphologic features within the Earth’s system to model and reveal the remaining signals of the unknown anomalous subsurface density distributions. The Bouguer gravity anomalies reduced by the normal gravitational field of the Earth and the gravitational attraction of the topographic masses above the sea level are frequently used in geophysics for this purpose.

Practical questions put forward by clinicians in the past have been researched and settled in the thesis. The AD diagnosis is completely based on clinics and the implementation of clinical tests for the diagnosis work depends on assessors’ subjectivity. Therefore, the development of MRI techniques shall help clinicians make diagnosis more quickly and objectively.

Thesis study of the composition of the parasitic nematodes in marine fishes in the off Vietnam is urgently needed. The survey’s results are not only provide the information about the fauna of fish’s nematoda, the relation between hosts-parasites, but also assess the the potential risks for human consumption.

Bone Marrow The bone marrow is usually normal or hypercellular, but in 20% of cases it is sufficiently hypocellular to be confused with aplasia. No single characteristic feature of marrow morphology distinguishes MDS, but the following are commonly observed: dyserythropoietic changes (especially nuclear abnormalities) and ringed sideroblasts in the erythroid lineage; hypogranulation and hyposegmentation in granulocytic precursors, with an increase in myeloblasts; and megakaryocytes showing reduced numbers or disorganized nuclei.

Pyrimidine 5'-Nucleotidase (P5N) Deficiency P5N is a key enzyme in the catabolism of nucleotides arising from the degradation of nucleic acids that takes place in the final stages of red cell maturation. How exactly its deficiency causes HA is not well understood, but a highly distinctive feature of this condition is a morphologic abnormality of the red cells known as basophilic stippling. The condition is rare, but it probably ranks third in frequency among red cell enzyme defects (after G6PD deficiency and PK deficiency).

Harrison's Internal Medicine Chapter 100. Megaloblastic Anemias Megaloblastic Anemias: Introduction The megaloblastic anemias are a group of disorders characterized by the presence of distinctive morphologic appearances of the developing red cells in the bone marrow. The cause is usually deficiency of either cobalamin (vitamin B 12) or folate, but megaloblastic anemia may arise because of genetic or acquired abnormalities affecting the metabolism of these vitamins or because of defects in DNA synthesis not related to cobalamin or folate (Table 100-1).
