In this study, we present the experimental evidence demonstrating the utility of electrical double layer (EDL)-induced ion accumulation, using sodium (Na+) ion in water as a model substance, on a negatively charged nanostructured surface, specifically thermally grown silicon dioxide (SiO2). Composite foams at varying salt hydrate content were prepared (0e70% wt.). The optimal formulation was addressed by coupling morphological, absorption, and energy storage density performances. Based on sorption, manufacturing, service, and handling feasibility, these results indicate this material as a potentially effective option for this application.

In the present work, a modified b-nickel hydroxide (b-Ni(OH)2) electrode material with CuO has been prepared using a co-precipitation method. The structure and property of the modified b-Ni(OH)2 with CuO were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform infra-red (FT-IR), Raman and thermal gravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA) techniques.

Based on the model and obtained weather data, we analyzed the improved overall efficiency in a year as well as the performance in each typical weather case for photovoltaic panels with fixed-tilt systems with a tilt angle equal to latitude, fixed-tilt systems with cooler, a singleaxis sun tracker, and a cooler-integrated single-axis sun tracker.
