The objective of this study is to examine the possibility of using the thermoluminescence (TL) of polymer fibers containing ground calcium carbonate (CaCO3 ) mineral fillers as emergency dosimeters. Calcite, consisting mostly of CaCO3 , is a TL material that exhibits two distinct TL peaks that can be exploited for dosimetry and is a naturally occurring mineral that is ubiquitously in use in everyday materials.

In this work, energy dependence of thermoluminescence dosimeters (TLDs) and optically stimulated luminescence dosimeters (OSLDs) for photon by the computational and experimental results was studied. Mass energy-absorption coefficients [in µen/ρ (cm2 /g)] for calcium, sulfur, oxygen, aluminum, carbon and dysprosium using the Mathematica software were calculated.

The optimal chest wall bolus regimen for postmastectomy radiotherapy (PMRT) remains unknown. We aimed to prospectively evaluate the use of a 1-mm-thick daily tissue-equivalent bolus in patients who received PMRT using thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs) and skin toxicity assessment.

The research group of the Nuclear Research Institute (NRI) studied and successfully produced thermoluminescent dosemeters (TLDs) using powder material of CaSO4:Dy. For external personal dosimetry in quantity of Hp(10), dosimetric parameters of the TLDs are examined by irradiating with various gamma doses of 137Cs source and measuring by Rexon-320 reader, including glow curve with temperature, calibration factor...
