Tikka leaf spot of groundnut

The experiment was conducted at the research plot of the Department of Plant Pathology, SHUATS, Prayagraj, U.P. during the kharif season of 2019-2020with RBD having nine treatments replicated thrice to evaluate the efficacy of some botanical extract and bio agents for the management of groundnut tikka leaf spot disease.

An experiment was carried out at Agricultural Research Station, Ladol to test the efficacy of some effective systemic fungicides viz. tebuconazole 50%+trifloxystrobin 25% WG, difenconazole 25% EC, hexaconazole 5% EC and tebuconazole 25.9% EC with their prefix concentrations against leaf spots or tikka disease of groundnut. A variant with no application of fungicide was used as a control. All the treatments reduced the disease intensity significantly as compared to untreated check.

An experiment was conducted at College of Agriculture, Nagpur to screen forty different groundnut genotypes against tikka disease of groundnut during kharif, 2016-17 in randomized block design with three replications. Biochemical constituents of phenol, total sugar and chlorophyll at 45-50DAS (flowering stage) and 90DAS (pod development stage) were estimated from leaves of healthy and diseased samples. Forty genotypes of groundnut were screened for tikka disease under field condition.

Forty genotypes of groundnut were screened for tikka disease under field condition. None of the genotypes were found to be immune to early leaf spot.

The research study was conducted on impact of training programme on knowledge, perception and attitude of stakeholders towards Bhoochetana programme. The Raichur, Koppal and Bellary districts were purposively selected based on their maximum area under groundnut cultivation. The random sampling procedure is being used to identify 180 beneficiaries. The ex-post –facto research design used for the study. It was corroborated that, 52.78 per cent of beneficiaries belonged to medium adoption category, followed by high (17.78 %).
