The present study reports suitable strategy for benefiting the Bt- cotton growers and it was conducted in Nagpur District of Maharashtra in the year 2014-2016 with 120 Bt cotton growers.

Survey conducted for disease incidence of Tobacco streak virus (TSV) during Kharif 2014-15 and 2015-16 in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka revealed disease incidence of 9-28 per cent in groundnut, 6-18 per cent in sunflower and 5-22 per cent in cucumber.

Tobacco streak virus (TSV) causes necrosis on leaf, veins, petiole and stem in Blackgram. The sap extracted from the infected blackgram plants remains infectious upto 24 hrs at room temperature. Infectivity of TSV on cowpea progressively reduced in response to increasing in the temperature and dilution. The present investigation was carried out to test the physical properties of TSV such as longevity storage period, thermal inactivation point and dilution end point on Cowpea (CV C- 125) isolated from naturally infected Blackgram plants (CO-8).

The present study was carried out to know the sap transmission nature of sunflower necrosis virus and detection by serological and molecular means. The disease was successfully transmitted through mechanical sap using 0.05 M potassium phosphate buffer. A maximum transmission of 52.33 per cent on cultivar KBSH-44, 51.33 per cent on KBSH-1, and 48.33 per cent on Morden. Under artificial inoculation, the newly emerged leaves showed slight downward curling, puckering and chlorosis followed by necrosis.
