Total magnetic anomalies

The tectonic and structural properties of Erzurum and its surroundings have been investigated by evaluating the seismotectonic b - value, magnetic anomaly, edge detection analysis (total horizontal derivative (THDR) and tilt angle (TA)), Curie Point Depth (CPD), P-wave velocity (Vp), and Vp / Vs (S - wave velocity) ratio and by imaging the regional distributions of these parameters. For this purpose, all parameters have been combined to be able to reveal the new useful results on the study region and are presented for different locations and depths.

This paper presents the methods of reduction to the magnetic equator in low latitudes to bring out a better correlation between magnetic anomalies and their causing-sources; High-frequency filtering is to separate gravity and magnetic anomalies as well as information about the volcanic basalts in the upper part of the Earth's crust; 3D total gradient is to define the spatial location of high density and magnetic bodies.

This paper presents the Directional Derivative method to determine location and boundaries of the magnetic directional structure sources through a new function DG (Directional Gradient - DG). Algorithm and computer program are made a code by Matlab language to attempt to calculate on 3D models in the compare with Horizontal derivative method (HG).
