The present investigation deals with process optimisation of delignification of rice straw towards its micro-porous structural enhancement for its utilization in polymer grafting. The individual effect of influential parameters viz. sodium hydroxide concentration (1–12%, w/v), reaction time (30–126 min), and temperature (20–150 C) on delignification were studied in a single mode batch process. The process parameters were further optimized with Central composite design (CCD) approach of response surface methodology in Design expert software.

This paper presents an enhanced model of plan-based dialogue understanding. Most plan-based dialogue understanding models derived from [Litman and Allen, 1987] assume that the dialogue speakers have access to the same domain plan library, and that the active domain plans are shared by the two speakers. We call these features shared domain plan constraints.

Broad management of NTDs contributes towards enhanced cognitive and physical development and to the reduction in number of underweight, malnourished and stunted children under the nutrition and child health targets, as well as to improved maternal health. Reduction of worm burden can also lead to improved health outcomes for individuals suffering from HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria. The GOK considers integrated management and control of NTDs both attainable and a high priority.

The discussions of the "social responsibilities of business" are notable for their analytical looseness and lack of rigor. What does it mean to say that "business" has responsibilities? Only people have responsibilities. A corporation is an artificial person and in this sense may have artificial responsibilities, but "business" as a whole cannot be said to have responsibilities, even in this vague sense. The first step toward clarity in examining the doctrine of the social responsibility of business is to ask precisely what it implies for whom.
