This paper, therefore, set out to find the influence of the microfines on the performance of concrete by determining its effect on the slump, the water demand, and compressive strength of concrete with microfines from 1 to 6% at 1% increment of the weight of fine aggregates. Experimental results showed that microfines in concrete could affect the slump and water demand for concrete minimally.

This paper presentsa3D finite element modeling of the flexural behaviorof ultrahigh-performanceconcrete (UHPC).A four-point flexural teston a UHPCprestressed T girder is considered. The flexuralstrength and cracks pattern of girder are addressed. UHPC material is supposed to be homogeneous andisotropic material. It follows a nonlinear fracture model. The results are comparedwith experimentally captured measurementsand qualitatively discussed.

In this study, grid nanoindentation and statistical deconvolution analysis were applied into a developed Ultrahigh performance concrete (UHPC) to broaden the understanding of the microstructure phases and their mechanical properties. A total of 550 nanoindentation tests was carried out on UHPC and the mechanical properties, including indentation modulus and hardness of the indented material were extracted from nanoindentation load-depth curves.
