  • This paper addresses racism and white privilege in America. Racism is generally discriminatory policy and behavior aimed at oppressing nonwhites whereas white privilege is the advantage gained by whites that is not due to ability or merit. It is argued that white privilege is largely invisible and that this allows the current unacceptable status quo to continue. A survey of items is offered as a tool to be used by college teachers to sensitize students to the nature and effects of white privilege.

  • The present study was designed to identify the preferences of agricultural undergraduates towards agriculture as a profession. A sample of 120 students of final year B.Sc. Agriculture was drawn by following random sampling method from PAU, Ludhiana and PJTSAU, Hyderabad. Data were collected by distributing questionnaire to the respondents. Findings of the study reveal that 56.67 per cent of the respondents were in the age group of 23-25 years.   • The study was conducted in the College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur during the year 2018-19. In College of Agriculture, Imphal a total number of 265 undergraduate students were enrolled which includes 85 students from 1st Year, 78 students from 2nd Year, 52 students from 3rd Year and 53 students from 4th Year. All of these enrolled undergraduate students from Imphal campus were selected purposively for the study. Out of 265 Undergraduate students, 120 students were selected based on proportionate random sampling for the present study.

  • Achievement motivation is prerequisite for achievement, to succeed and to perform well in relation to a standard of excellence. The present study was carried out with the objectives to examine the gender related differences and differences across academic majors on achievement motivation among adolescent students. It was measured by a scale developed by Norton (2006), which contained 22 items. The scale was slightly modified in accordance to the present research.

  • This study focused on the language needs of third year students majoring in Electronics and Communications at Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU). A questionnaire survey was conducted, which revealed that most of the students were aware of the importance of the course. A large number of them intended to develop 4 skills throughout the course. An analysis of written test was also carried out. The results also showed the students’ weaknesses in the language.
