This paper presents a study to predict the probabilistic characteristics of lateral dynamic motions of a long heavy cable moving at speed within a tall host structure. The cable is subjected to a base-motion (kinematic) excitation due to a low frequency sway of the structure.

To validate the proposed control quality, a stability analysis of the system is discussed and the response analysis is executed with both MATLAB simulation and experimental research. The simulation and experiment results show that the crane system is stable and has the desired behavior.

Line buildout settings are an inherent part of T1 and T3 network element transmission circuitry. Because cable lengths between network elements and DSX vary in the central office, LBO settings are designed to adjust the output power of the transmission signal to achieve equal level point (ELP) at the DSX. Most network elements allow LBO settings to be adjusted via software or hardware settings.
