Vertical parallel lines
-
In this paper, an object detection approach for high-resolution binary images is proposed without scanning all the pixels in the images. Here, elliptical object detection is considered, pixels on horizontal and vertical parallel lines are scanned keeping a constant gap between each two lines.

The earth's magnetic field has two magnetic poles. These magnetic poles are the magnetic South Pole and North Pole. The earth's magnetic poles are located at approximately 12° offset from the earth's geographical poles. At the magnetic North Pole, the gridlines of the magnetic field are vertical to the earth's surface. The needle of a compass, for example, will point to this magnetic pole. At the magnetic South Pole, the magnetic lines leave the earth’s surface. The earth’s magnetic field does not run parallel to the earth’s surface.

There are two kinds of fence you can use, one being a point location fence as in photo 5, and the other being a long fence as in photos 6 and 7. The point location fence contacts the stock being cut at only one point along its length- a vertical line perpendicular to the length of the stock and parallel to the blade. The advantage to this kind of fence is that it allows you to swivel the stock back and forth as it is fed into the blade in order to keep the direction of the cut going properly....
