Vietnamese general educational system

This study aims to demonstrate results of an observation on the implementation of the ICT application policies in education. The study is going to provide the reader with the history of some policies on the application of ICT in education. The results of implementing these policies during the preparation phase of the educational reform period in Vietnamese general education. Some aspects were analyzed such as the investments in ICT infrastruture and teachers’ readiness in using ICT for teaching.

Within the new Law on Vocational Education and Training coming into effect on 1st July 2015. many important contents have been institutionalized that change the whole education system in general and Vocational Education and Training (VET) in particular. After a brief overview of the key changes, this paper will focus on the understanding of work-based learning in VET especially the cooperation between TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training) institutes and enterprises.
