The ability of farmers in the village's economic life is very varied and tends to be in a weak position, especially in terms of saving skills. This study aims to determine the influence of socioeconomic factors on the ability to save, pull, and push elements of farmers to keep and resource savings fund farmers. This research is a case study in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatera, where 60 people from 312 populations of paddy rice farmers were sampled purposively.

It was found that on average a total quantity of water flow in Nallamada command in a year was 43.84 TMC, in addition to the 6 TMC of water being used for all the Lift Irrigation Schemes above the gauging station for all the crops under Nallamada command in Krishna Western Delta. During socio- economic survey of beneficiary and nonbeneficiary farmers in the five randomly selected villages under Nagulapadu Lift Irrigation Scheme, effort were made to analyse the socio- economic and gender impact of Lift Irrigation Scheme on the lives of deprived farmers.

Diet and nutrition play an important role for proper functioning and maintenance of good health throughout the life. A balanced diet is required for proper growth and development from the early stages of life. The present study was conducted with the objectives to assess their dietary intakes in terms of quantity and quality and energy balance. This research is classified into qualitative research with the approach used in this research is ethnometodology approach. An investigation consisting of bunch feeding on banana cv. Rajapuri (Musa AAB) was conducted during 2016-17 in the farmers field in Tadasalur village in Savadatti taluk of Belgaum district. Bunch fed with combination of 500 ml of cow dung slurry and 20 g of K2SO4 increased the characters viz., bunch weight (13.20 kg), total yield (14.66 tonnes/ ha), green life (12.67 days), shelf life (9.00 days), benefit: cost ratio (2.28:1) and reduced titrable acidity (0.24 %) and physiological loss in weight (15.34 %).

The present study was conducted in two districts of Upper Brahmaputra Valley Zone of Assam namely Jorhat and Majuli district in order to assess the socio-economic profile of flood affected farmers, their employment status and perception on flood impacts. A total of 160 farmers were selected from eight villages of two districts by following proportionate cum random sampling techniques. The findings reveal that majority of the respondents were in between 41-59 years of age with education level upto class VII standard and having 4-6 members in their family with average annual income Rs.7,339.

Bile duct cancer is commonly found in the Mekong River Basin, i.e. in the northeast of Thailand, where the main protein source is fish. The villagers usually consume uncooked cyprinid fish, which is infected with the infective stage of liver fluke. Northeastern Thailand has a dry savanna climate, but during the rainy season, floods overwhelm the river and wetlands. The villagers use various methods to catch fish and they like eating the fish from the wetland, uncooked.

The study was conducted in tribal area of Udaipur district where Tribal Area Development Programme is in operation under Tribal Area Development Department. The department implements the programme services through line departments or related organization in the area. The Agricultural services are intensively implemented in three tribal blocks namely Jadol, Sarada and Lasadiya as informed by the department personnel hence these three blocks were purposively selected for the study. There were six Agricultural services and for each service, two villages were selected for beneficiaries.

Forecasting thunderstorm severity remains a challenge even in wealthy, developed countries that have modern meteorological data gathering infrastructure, such as Doppler Radar. This study attempts to isolate the specific and unique characteristics of a hailstorm that not only might explain its severity, but also suggest forecasting techniquees for future forecasting in Nepal.

For the upland people, especially ethnic minorities, forests play a very important role in daily life. However, the implementation of the rights over the forest can be formal (legal rights) and informal (right in the practice), and it always affects the livelihoods of upland people. In this context, the conceptual framework of this study considers the implementation of activities based on forests because the implementation of "bundles of rights" over forests and people’s livelihood activities consist of naturalbased and non-natural-based resources.
