Laparoscopic adrenalectomy has emerged as the standard treatment for adrenal tumors. Although the application of high - resolution cameras has enhanced visualization in conventional two - dimensional laparoscopy, it has not fully overcome the limitations of depth perception and spatial recognition. This study aims to evaluate the outcome of three - dimensional laparoscopic adrenalectomy.

3D animation software is extensively used to create graphics for special effects sequences in live-action films, in animated feature film production and for the generation of computer games and virtual reality content. It is a commonly held view within the computer graphics community that 3D animation software is ―just another tool‖ for self-expression. This research questions that view by examining the inherent nature of the tool itself. In doing so, some of the philosophical assumptions embedded in the design of the new digital tool are revealed.

Generation of 11-cis-retinol from all-trans-retinyl ester in the retinal pigment epithelium is a critical step in the visual cycle and is essential for perception of light. Recent findings from cell culture models suggest that protein RPE65 is the retinoid isomerohydrolase that catalyzes the reaction. However, previous attempts to detect the enzymatic activity of purified RPE65 were unsuccessful, and thus its enzymatic function remains contro-versial.

Vitreous Degeneration This occurs in all individuals with advancing age, leading to visual symptoms. Opacities develop in the vitreous, casting annoying shadows upon the retina. As the eye moves, these distracting "floaters" move synchronously, with a slight lag caused by inertia of the vitreous gel. Vitreous traction upon the retina causes mechanical stimulation, resulting in perception of flashing lights. This photopsia is brief and confined to one eye, in contrast to the bilateral, prolonged scintillations of cortical migraine.
