This paper aims to investigate the determinants of water demand in Kuwait and assess their impact on consumption. To do this, we applied the cointegration regression and the error correction model (ECM) on annual time series data, covering the period from 1972 to 2019. We found that the price elasticity for fresh water demand in Kuwait is negative and elastic in the long run (-1.095), which is consistent with the existing literature. Also, we found that the income elasticity for demand was positive in the long run (0.234), however, no short run effect was found for either price or income.

This paper presents the results of water use situation, Willingness-To-Pay (WTP) and analysis of the factors affecting WTP for water service of residents in Vinh Xuan. The objective of the paper is to evaluate the status of clean water use and people’s awareness through WTP for water service. A survey on water consumption and WTP estimation of users for water service experienced that only one-third of Vinh Xuan people have had access to clean water. This situation illustrated getting access as well as using clean water have been still limited while the demand of water use has been rising.

The government struggles to fight escalating food safety issues in Vietnam. However, government measures yielded little evidence of improvement to domestic food safety. For that reason, consumers lower their trust in the government. The current market context, and low trust towards the government left consumers to count on their own judgement for the sake of their own food safety. This study applied choice experiment method based on Lancastrian consumer theory and random utility theory to elicit consumers’ preferences on traceable safe foods and the perception regarding food safety.

The paper compares water prices and affecting factors customer satisfaction on clean-water supply of private sector with the rest of management (State-owned companies, Province Center for rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation and People‟s committee). Using an explanatory regression model with the survey data from 67 water supply schemes and 900 households of different management organizations in two regions of northern and southern Vietnam. The paper shows that private sector has a higher water price compared to the rest sector of the managed area of 962 VND/m3 .

Aquaculture is an important economic activity in the coastal zone of Vietnam. Thanh Phu is one the coastal districts in Ben Tre province that rears brackish aquaculture. In recent years, farmers could not grow shrimp because of salinity intrusion and market price fluctuation. This study aims to determine aquaculture and fallow aquaculture pond distribution by using the three indices of NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), MNDWI (Modified Normalized Difference Water Index) and NDBaI (Modified Difference Bareness Index) on Landsat 8 imagery.
