Web handling systems
-
This study presents web handling systems with the characteristic of a changing moment of inertia and operating radius of rolls. Commonly, sliding mode control (SMC) is used to control the web tension of this system due to its robustness against modeling imprecision.

With the rapid development of the Internet and technology, daily activities are gradually improving to offer human beings a better quality of life. E-commerce, with the undeniable convenience it provides, is gradually replacing traditional shopping methods. Part of the explanation for this is that emerging technologies are making it easier for web developers to create, handle, and sustain high-performing web applications. In this paper, we will discuss the technique, reasons to use the stacks, the way it works and our results by applying these technologies on e-commerce.

The World Wide Web (WWW) is a repository of information linked together from points all over the world. The WWW has a unique combination of flexibility, portability, and user-friendly features that distinguish it from other services provided by the Internet. The WWW project was initiated by CERN (European Laboratory for Particle Physics) to create a system to handle distributed resources necessary for scientific research. In this chapter we first discuss issues related to the Web. We then discuss a protocol, HTTP, that is used to retrieve information from the Web.

The task of identifying named entities from the discussion texts in Web forums faces the challenge of noisy names. As the names are often misspelled or abbreviated, the conventional techniques have failed to detect the noisy names properly. In this paper we propose a global context based framework for handling the noisy names. The framework is tested on a named entity recognition system designed to identify the names from the discussion texts in a homeopathy diagnosis discussion forum.

Squid proxy server enables you to cache your web content and return it quickly on subsequent requests. System administrators often struggle with delays and too much bandwidth being used, but Squid solves these problems by handling requests locally. By deploying Squid in accelerator mode, requests are handled faster than on normal web servers, thus making your site perform quicker than everyone else's! The Squid Proxy Server 3.1 Beginner's Guide will help you to install and configure Squid so that it is optimized to enhance the performance of your network.

Information-extraction (IE) systems seek to distill semantic relations from naturallanguage text, but most systems use supervised learning of relation-specific examples and are thus limited by the availability of training data. Open IE systems such as TextRunner, on the other hand, aim to handle the unbounded number of relations found on the Web. But how well can these open systems perform? This paper presents WOE, an open IE system which improves dramatically on TextRunner’s precision and recall. ...

Syndication of micronews, frequently-updated content on the Web, is currently accomplished with RSS feeds and client applications that poll those feeds. However, providers of RSS content have recently become concerned about the escalating bandwidth demand of RSS readers. Current efforts to address this problem by optimizing the polling behavior of clients sacrifice timeliness without fun- damentally improving the scalability of the system.

The People's Republic of China operates an Internet ltering system which is widely considered to be one of the most sophisticated in the world [9]. It works, in part, by inspecting web (HTTP) trac to determine if specic keywords are present [8]. These keywords relate to matters such as groups that the Chinese Government has banned, political ideologies that they consider unacceptable and historical events that the regime does not wish to have discussed.

One of the most important parts of running any computer system is handling data on disk. We have already looked at UNIX file handling in Chapter 10. In this chapter, we’ll look at two ways to add another disk to your system, and what you should put on them. In addition, we’ll discuss disk error recovery on page 218.

All versions of Unix work with alphanumeric terminals that handle a single session in a single screen, such as those described in Chapter 1. On most modern Unix versions, you can also use a window system. A window system is software that lets a single screen handle many sessions at once.* Window systems use a mouse or another device (such as a trackball) to move a pointer acr oss the screen. The pointer can be used to select and move parts of the screen, copy and paste text, work with menus of commands, and more. If you’ve used a Macintosh or Microsoft Windows, among others, you’ve used a..

Today’s optical distribution frame (ODF) systems are already required to handle more fiber than ever before, but as bandwidth requirements skyrocket, the need for even higher fiber density continues to increase. Manufacturers are scrambling to develop higher-density equipment and systems that can accommodate higher and higher numbers of terminations in smaller and smaller areas.

ADC’s family of singlemode reduced bend radius optical fiber patch cords have a bend radius that is half that of standard singlemode patch cords without changing attenuation characteristics of the cable. Designed for uses that range from the central office to FTTX deployments to OEM applications, reduced bend radius cables are best suited for environments where there is increased handling and movement of cables or where space is tight.
