A reasonable rate for copper mining to ensure sustainable development in Viet Nam

Copper is an Exhaustible Resource (ER). Vietnam has some copper mines, of which the largest mine being exploited is Sinh Quyen (Lao Cai). Due to special characteristics of ER, one main question must be answered: what is the optimal mining rate that can enhance a sustainable usage of copper? If it is extracted too much for rapid business growth, the interests of future generations will be harmed, and vice versal. The objective of the paper is to calculate the most reasonable mining rate that can protect copper resources as well as contribute to the sustainable development (SD) of copper in Vietnam.
