Aerobic microbiological surveillance of operation theatre from a tertiary care Hospital, Kolhapur, India

Microbial contamination of operation theatres is the major cause of morbidity and mortality in post operative cases. The present study is to evaluate the microbial contamination of operation theatre and their antibiotic resistance pattern. This study was carried out from July 2018 to December 2018. Surface and article swabs were collected by using sterile cotton swabs moistened with nutrient broth and air samples were taken by settle plate method.
