1. Comparative:
a) Short adjective/adverb:
S + V + adj/adv –er (+ than)
Eg: Tuan studies harder than Nam.
b) Long adjective/adverb:
S + V + more + adj/adv (+than)
Eg: Lan is more careful than Hoa.
2. Superlative:
a) Short adjective/adverb:
S + V + the + adj/adv –est
Eg: Tuan studies the hardest in our class.
b) Long adjective/adverb:
S + V + the most + adj/adv
Eg: Lan is the most careful of my friends.
Some irregular adjectives/adverbs
