Osteopontin(OPN) is an arginine-glycine-aspartate (RGD)-contain-ing adhesive glycoprotein that was first identified as a major sialo-protein in bone and subsequently found to be expressed in kidney, brain, macrophages, vascular smooth muscle cells and many cells of epithelial linings. In this study we examined the expression of OPN in MDCK cells in different cellular confluences.
