Bimaterial interface crack analysis using an extended consecutive-interpolation quadrilateral element

In this paper, the extended consecutive-interpolation finite element method (XCFEM) is employed to model the mix-mode interface cracks between two dissimilar isotropic materials. This will take advantage of the idea of the consecutive-interpolation finite element method (CFEM) and the enrichment functions of XFEM for discontinuous problems.
