Bioprospecting potential of endophytic bacteria from leaves of Gossypium hirsutum

A total of 19 bacterial endophytes were isolated from leaves of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) and characterized for plant growth promoting traits viz., siderophores production, phosphate solubilization, IAA and ammonia production; and preliminarily screened for chitinase, gelatinase, protease and lipase.
