"Doctoral thesis of Philosophy: Empirical analysis of stock return synchronicity comparison of developed and emerging markets" is divided into eight chapters. Chapter two contains a literature review and chapter three explains the methodology and the data used in the thesis. Chapters four, five and six use the three different synchronicity measures in an analysis of emerging and developed markets. A comparison between the three synchronicity measures is provided in chapter seven. Chapter eight concludes the thesis, summarising the major findings of the research and emphasising the major contribution of this study to the existing literature.
