This article aims to explore the use of CMC as an alternative platform for teaching English for vocational purposes. For this purpose, the current paper is based on library research combining synthesis and analysis of more than thirty empirical and non-empirical articles which were published in journals, conference proceedings, books, and conference presentations.

The objective of this research was to determine the role of neural feedback and muscle mechanics in the generation of physiological tremor oscillation. This research developed a neuromuscular model to simulate the individual and resulting oscillatory mechanisms of tremor. The oscillations found in EMG signal were also analysed empirically from EMG data from 54 subjects using Hilbert Transform and rectification to obtain the envelope of the signal. The time between rhythmical waveform patterns in the EMG signal, TC was found to be 78ms.

This thesis examines the capital structure choice of Australian firms with an emphasis on the impact of market timing and liquidity considering 1438 available firms for the period, 1997 to 2005. The relationship between capital structure and its determinants is the main focus of this thesis, with four empirical analyses. These analyses are all conducted within the Baker and Wurgler (2002) and Hovakimian (2006) models with both pooled ordinary least squares (OLS) and fixed effect panel analysis.

Chapter two contains a literature review and chapter three explains the methodology and the data used in the thesis. Chapters four, five and six use the three different synchronicity measures in an analysis of emerging and developed markets. This paper aims to provide a clearer picture of the main functions of short-term expatriate assignments. It is based on the results from an empirical study with involving 84 interviewees from different companies located in different host countries. The interviewees were managers mainly from Malaysian, Australian, and Singaporean companies that operated internationally. The duration of the interviews was in average of 1 hour 30 minutes. Extensive notes and voice recordings were made during the interviews.

Trade and world economic integration are seen as the impetus for accelerating the well-beings of the domestic Vietnamese communities and international community in the region. However, an understanding of the link between trade and economic integration from the perspective of Vietnam is missing. Empirical studies on Vietnamese trade are in lack to address these determinants (see, Le, 1996; Nguyen, 2010). This thesis identifies the key factors that have driven the impressive growth of Vietnamese exports during the world economic integration process (1986-2010).

The purpose of the thesis "An empirical analysis of firm innovation capability and performance of Indonesian ICT SMEs" is to explore the antecedents of innovation capability and firm performance of ICT SMEs within clusters in Jakarta and Bandung in Indonesia. A causal model was proposed and tested by using Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). Findings reveal that intellectual capital is a major contributor of innovation capability. Surprisingly, being spatially close in a specific location does not trigger firms to have innovation capability.
