Effect of laboratory synthesized Cu-chitosan nanocomposites on control of PFSR disease of maize caused by fusarium verticillioids

The purpose of this study was to evaluate Cu-chitosan NCPs for its antifungal activities against Fusarium verticillioids causing post flowering stalk rot (PFSR) disease of maize. Cu-chitosan NCPs were prepared based on the ionic gelation of chitosan with tripolyphosphate anions and Copper ions having particle size (295.4 nm), polydispersity index (0.28), zeta potential (+ 19.6 mV).Various concentrations of Cu-chitosan NCP was applied in pot and field experiments.
