Effect of shear modulus on the performance of prototype un-bonded fiber reinforced elastomeric isolators

This study investigates the performance of prototype U-FREIs under cyclic loading by both experiments and FE analysis. In experiments, four prototype specimens with the same sizes in plan and two different values of shear modulus are produced, and then the characteristic properties including the horizontal stiffness as well as the energy dissipation capacity and the equivalent viscous damping are assessed.
