Effect of welding speed on mechanical properties of dissimilar friction stir lap-joint welding between AA6061 and C1100 copper

This study focused the infl uence of welding parameters on the quality of the lap-joint between AA6061 aluminum alloy and C1100 copper. Experimental results indicate that the welding interface was sensitive to welding speed. Some welding defect was found in the joint such as tunnel and hook defects.
