Effect on haematological and biochemical profiles following administration of ketamine alone and in combination with dexmedetomidine or butorphanol in Atropinized dogs

The present study was conducted on 18 healthy dogs of either sex weighing between 10-20 kg to evaluate the effects on various haematological and biochemical profile using ketamine alone and in combination with dexmedetomidine or butorphanol in atropinized dogs. The experimental work was divided into three groups K (ketamine), DK (dexmedetomidine-ketamine) and BK (butorphanol-ketamine). Atropine sulphate @ 0.04 mg/ kg intramuscularly was administered 15 minutes prior to treatment in all the groups of animals.
