Tumor mutational burden (TMB) may be a predictive biomarker of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) responsiveness. Genomic landscape heterogeneity is a well-established cancer feature. Molecular characteristics may differ even within the same tumor specimen and undoubtedly evolve with time.
