Microsatellite based genetic characterization study in native chicken population of North Gujarat, India

The present study was undertaken for genetic characterization of native chicken population of North Gujarat by using 25 microsatellite markers done into seven multiplexed set. A total of 240 alleles were found where observed number of alleles per locus varied from 6 (ADL 172, MCW 43) to 15 (ADL 136).
