Recent retrospective data suggest that neoadjuvant androgen deprivation therapy can improve the prognosis of high-risk prostate cancer (PCa) patients. Novel androgen receptor pathway inhibitors are nowadays available for treatment of metastatic PCa and these compounds are promising for early stage disease.
