Nonlinear control to suppress vibration of rods carried by overhead cranes

In this paper, the control problem is presented to suppress the residual vibration of the rod transport system of a nuclear power plant. The transport rods are needed to transport to the target position in minimum possible time. However, the rods have been observed that oscillating at the end of maneuver.
