Patellar tendinopathy in young elite soccer– clinical and sonographical analysis of a German elite soccer academy

The prevalence of patellar tendinopathy is elevated in elite soccer compared to less explosive sports. While the burden of training hours and load is comparably high in youth elite players (age < 23 years), little is known about the prevalence of patellar tendinopathy at this age.
