In the present study, trehalase was purified and characterized from the seeds of Cicer arietinum L. ‘Giza 1’. Crude extract was prepared and purified for electrophoretic homogeneity using ammonium sulfate, chromatography on DEAE-cellulose, CM Sepharose, and Sephadex G-200.
