Reliability, validity, and factor structure of the 12-item general health questionnaire (GHQ-12) among students at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy

Stress in medical education has been inevitable among medical students. The prevalence of mental health problems among medical students is increasing, requiring a reliable tool for accessing assessments. The General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12), designed to screen for mental disorders and psychological stress, is a promising tool. Although the factor structure of GHQ-12 has been studied internationally, it is still unclear in Vietnam.
