The status of chromium as an essential nutrient is an ongoing debate despite its widespread use as supplement. Chromium supplement has been reported to improve glucose tolerance, insulin action and promote weight loss. This study examined the effect of given high concentrations of glucose D to chromium picolinate pretreated rats.
