TECHNIQUES FOR TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION

The teacher establishes a context and introduces the topic of a reading text. The students are required to guess what they are going to read. The teacher (or students) writes students’ guesses on the board. The students are asked to read the text to check if things they guess are correct or not.
