The effect of economic openness and the role of fintech on financial development: The case in Vietnam

The paper "The effect of economic openness and the role of fintech on financial development: The case in Vietnam" investigates the effect of economic openness and the role of financial technology on financial development in Vietnam. By applying the ARDL model with the data of 1995-2021 period, the results show that economic openness has a critical role to promote financial development, followed by the contribution of FDI both in short and long run term, while trade openness does not have a significant impact.
