Absolute rates

The article substantiates the idea that increasing social inequality and persistent large-scale poverty in post-Soviet Russia should be considered as one of the main reasons for the low birth rate in the country and a serious challenge to ensuring its demographic security. The authors propose a concept of demographic security and outline its primary indicators and their threshold values—the methodological basis for diagnosing and forecasting demographic processes from the perspective of Russia’s national and economic security.

In this paper, we present detail data of Pliocene - present tectonics and strain rate from GPS measurement and seismic interpretation. Using international reference frame ITRF08, we revealed absolute tectonic velocities of GPS sites with the slip rate to the east between 22 to 25 mm/year, to the south between 4 to 8 mm/year. The present strain rate was determined from present tectonic velocities that were consistent with the recent strain rates determined from seismic profiles, thickness of Pliocene - Quaternary sediments.

A comparison between stochastic and deterministic depletion calculations based on a graphite-filled MOX fuel assembly configuration is presented in this paper. The infinite multiplication factors and isotope inventory changes as a function of burnup obtained by Monte Carlo method module SCALE/KENO and deterministic method module SCALE/NEWT are compared with those obtained by deterministic code HELIOS. The impact in calculation results by using different nuclear data library is also investigated.

This research differs methodically from the classical application of DLOQ, which measures the absolute value of organizational learning. Therefore the members of business school were asked to evaluate changes in OL using DLOQ in comparison with the period prior to the reform. For that, the respondents were asked to rate the DLOQ characteristics on a scale from -3 to +3, where a negative score means that the characteristic has become worse after the reform and positive scores imply that they are now better.

The seed cluster bean exhibited significant variations in growth indices like absolute growth rate, crop growth rate and relative growth rate. The highest absolute growth rate, crop growth rate and relative growth rate was recorded by HG 365. Among the growth regulators, maximum absolute growth rate, crop growth rate and relative growth rate was recorded by the application of CCC at 1500 ppm which was on par with CCC 1000 ppm even seed yield per plot, fresh weight and dry weight followed same trend both in cultivar and growth regulator.

In this paper, the ratio model, a simple currency valuation model proposed by Zhang (2012, International Research Journal of Finance and Economics, issue 97, pp. 55–59), is revisited. We use both the ratio and purchasing power parity (PPP) models to value the bilateral real exchange rates (RERs) of five Asian industrial countries and areas, namely, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, against the United States.

The variability in water retention in soil is primarily attributable to soil texture which is mainly responsible for pore geometry and discontinuity, when compared to soil mineralogy. Under field conditions soil moisture variability is a major constraint for proper soil water management. In the present study, a pot experiment was conducted with an objective of assessing the effect of soil texture on moisture content and its depletion rate. For this purpose, the soils of seven variable textures were pre saturated and allowed to follow a drying period up to 15 days.

The aim of the present study was to determine the relationship between nitric oxide (NO) concentration/rate in the unstimulated whole saliva (UWS) and stimulated whole saliva (SWS) with the decay-missing-filled teeth (DMFT) and simplified oral hygiene (OHI-s) scores. Forty adults were included in the study. Half of the participants (n = 20) had high DMFT-OHI-s compared to the other half. UWS and SWS flow rates, initial and final pHs were also measured.
